The Forest Park playground is tiny, but the location is fantastic – right between the Forestry Farm and Alice Turner Library! You could easily spend a day in the immediate area, without needing to drive anywhere.

Charlotte’s review (5 years old): “This playground is just okay.”
Luc’s review (3 years old): “I like sliding.”
The tiny playground in Forest Park is nothing to scream about. It’s got a small climber, regular swings, and baby swings. Kids older than 6 will get bored pretty quickly. However, there’s also a huge park to explore, and it has space for basically any kind of sport (especially on the weekend when students from the adjacent high school aren’t using it).
In addition, the Forestry Farm entrance is only a 5-minute walk to the west, and Alice Turner Library is a 5-minute walk to the east. There are playgrounds both inside the Zoo and outside the Zoo. The library has a nice kids’ area with soft seating for grown-ups, puzzles, toys, and of course tons of books. If you’re looking for a relaxing way to spend a day with your family, this is the spot to do it.
