Kinsmen Park is now home to a brand-new Playland with a ferris wheel, carousel, and train ride ($2 per ticket). There’s also a fantastic playground that includes an interactive spray park, a zipline, a climber that looks like tumbled logs, a very fast slide, and a sand play area. This is one of my kids’ favourite places in the city.

Charlotte’s review (5 years old): “So awesome! Can we come back tomorrow?”
Luc’s review (3 years old): “I like the train.”
This is definitely one of the best playgrounds in Saskatoon. It has a natural climbing feature made of logs, a zipline (adults will fit and it is SO FUN), a very tall slide with a tower, a smaller slide built into a hill, big wobbly discs, and saucer swings. A sand play area has a concrete dome for climbing and concrete stepping stones. There’s also a really cool water play area with a pump and little doors that kids can open and close to control the flow of water. It also has spray features and jets – bring suits and towels because the kids will get wet for sure.
Playland is also really fun. Ride tickets are $2 each or $20 for 12. The train follows a loop that goes around the playground, and the ferris wheel gives you a great view of the city and the river. The carousel has a fence around it, which kind of ruins pictures, but it’s still fun. Concession prices start at $1.50 for a small popsicle, and go up to $6.00 for a hot dog and pop. Cash, debit, and credit are accepted.
